Amy Hammerschlag, MA, PA
Registered Psychological Associate
I am accepting clients for therapy primarily over telehealth and focus on assessment and treatment planning in my practice. I conduct assessments for learning, cognition, memory, and behavior, and specialize in diagnosing autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. I also have experience conducting cognitive assessments for older adults who may be experiencing early cognitive decline.
Professionally, I have over 20 years of experience working with children with disabilities, and I can help guide parents to the services that they need to improve their relationships with their children and solve behavior challenges.
Therapeutically, I tend to have an eclectic approach, as I'm trained in EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, brief solution focused therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I also use elements on ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) to help with motivational focus. I tailor each person's needs to an individualized treatment plan so you know what's going on the whole time, and always have a practical approach so you go away from each session with things to try to help improve your day to day functioning!-- am excited to work with you!
Amy is available for in-person and telehealth sessions.
