Amy Hammerschlag, MA, PA
Registered Psychological Associate
I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families, and I can help solve just about any behavior problem you have at home with your child, and can increase your “bag of tricks” when your child is having some challenging behaviors. I have experience with brief solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, and cognitive/behavioral therapy. I also incorporate family sessions whenever I work with children to help parents too, as being a parent is a tough job!
I have experience working with children who have severe behavior problems, developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, and anger management problems, in addition to socialization issues. I can also help you navigate the school systems to get the supports you need for your child.
I also have experience working with adults with similar mental health concerns, such as anxiety, anger problems, and depression, and target underlying trauma, as trauma tends to drive later mental health problems.
I am also skilled in psychological/neuropsychological assessments, and can conduct Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) either on your behalf or through your school district (with board approval).
I am excited to work with you!
Amy is available for in-person and telehealth sessions.
