    ADHD

ADHD assessments hope to determine whether an individual meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD. Once a diagnosis is established, ADHD assessments contribute to developing personalized treatment plans.

Understanding an individual’s specific ADHD symptoms, as well as any coexisting conditions, allows clinicians to tailor interventions to address the unique needs of the person. ADHD often requires differential diagnosis to also screen for processing issues and anxiety and often has comorbid behavior and mental health issues.

ADHD assessments typically involve a combination of clinical interviews, behavioral observations, self-report measures, and assessments of cognitive and academic functioning.

The goal is to gather a comprehensive understanding of the individual’s strengths, challenges, and overall functioning to inform effective intervention strategies and support their well-being.

Psychological Testing for ADHD may include:

    • Parent and child clinical interviews
    • Rating scales – Conners 4th Edition and/or Behavior Assessment System for Children, 3rd Edition
